The questions traders actually ask
Is the EA safe?
Yes. The TAP Sync EA is read-only telemetry — it contains zero order functions (no OrderSend, no trade calls), so it can’t place, modify or close a single position. It only reads and reports your account metrics, open positions and closed trades. Revoke it any time by re-pairing, which rotates the token and instantly invalidates the old one.
Do you see my password?
Never. No broker password — investor or master — is ever entered or stored anywhere in TAP; none exists on our side. You pair by pasting a one-time code from your dashboard into the EA, and the EA receives its own reporting-only token. That’s the whole design.
Which brokers work?
Any broker running MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 — that’s the entire point. Because the EA runs inside your own terminal, there are no per-broker integrations to wait on and no broker IP blocks to route around.
What happens when my terminal is off?
TAP only sees data while your terminal and the EA are running. On reconnect, the EA backfills the gap from your terminal’s own history, so nothing is lost. Traders who want 24/7 sync usually run MetaTrader on a VPS.
